Your independent investment advice team

These people can help your financial and lifestyle dreams come true

In Cheltenham-based Neil Gayler & Co., you’ll find one of the friendliest and most experienced independent investment advice teams in Gloucestershire.

Independent investment advice that makes your financial dreams come true

We’re big enough to have the expertise to give you the advice you need – and small enough to stay professional, focused, friendly and approachable at all times. Indeed, we’re regularly complimented on the quality of experience enjoyed by our personal and corporate clients when we work together – as well as the independent investment advice that makes their financial and lifestyle dreams come true.

Committed to fully understanding your aspirations

Above all, every team member appreciates that investment advice is about more than just annual returns and policy terms. Only once we’ve got a full understanding your dreams and lifestyle aspirations can we design an appropriate investment strategy for you.

Here’s an overview of our investment planning and advice team.

Neil Gayler

Principal & Independent Financial Adviser

As the driving force behind Neil Gayler & Co, Cheltenham based Neil Gayler established the business as Independent Financial Advisers in June 1997.

As well as the duties and responsibilities that go with being our principal, Neil focuses on the management of business relationships with clients, with particular emphasis on financial planning & wealth management.

In addition to the expertise Neil brings to the business, he’s the focal point for ensuring that our clients, prospective clients and business contacts receive the highest level of professionalism and courtesy, whatever their relationship with us.

Neil’s been providing financial advice for the whole of his working life, including a period in sales management. During this time, he’s built up a unique breadth and depth of experience helping private and business clients as well as trustees.

As well as being reassured by his considerable real-world experience, Neil’s clients gain confidence from his CertPFS, CII Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ) and many other qualifications in retirement planning, estate planning, wealth management and tax planning.

Not surprisingly, his role at the head of the business is a demanding one. When he’s not immersed in clients’ financial planning or mortgage requirements, Neil, who is married to Karen with two sons, Tom and Ed, enjoys keeping fit, playing golf and swimming, as well as watching live and televised sport and pursuing a healthy teetotal lifestyle. A passionate outdoorsman, Neil has a keen interest in environmental issues and the natural world and enjoys nothing better than escaping the intense financial services world for a little R & R in the Cotswolds or the Lake District.

Alison Taylor

Office Manager & Senior Administrator

Ten years on the team hasn’t dampened Alison’s passion for the world of mortgage advice and independent financial planning.

No two days are the same as Alison provides high quality administrative support to the team’s advisers. Whether she’s providing a warm welcome to telephone callers and visitors, processing new business or maintaining clients’ records, she’s the hard-working administrative engine behind our continuing success.

Before joining us, Alison worked for various companies in and around the financial services sector including an estate agent, a building society and an accountancy/liquidations specialist – the perfect background, in fact, for her current role.

Her professional qualifications include FPC 1 & 2 and NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration.
